GRISWOLD SPECIAL CARE
is committed to
enhancing the professionalism and status of the professional
Caregiver in the home care and long-term care fields. To that end,
GRISWOLD SPECIAL CARE
offers a variety of
programs geared toward elderly, senior, specialized disability and
in-home Caregivers.

supportive care programs:
In recognition of valued Caregivers, GRISWOLD
SPECIAL CARE has available optional health programs from
AmeriPlan USA® and Nationwide Insurance. These discount supplemental
health programs are administered independent of
GRISWOLD SPECIAL CARE and Caregiver participation is entirely
optional. In addition to the two health programs, we have on the
Caregiver section of the website, information on self-insurance
providers listed by state.
Caregivers must be
registered with a local GRISWOLD SPECIAL CARE
office. New Caregivers are eligible for up to 30 days after they
have been cleared and added to the registry to enroll into the
Nationwide program. The Ameriplan USA® program has an open
enrollment through out the year.
For additional information on Caregiver resources, please call (215)

In an effort to encourage Caregiver communication and participation,
GRISWOLD SPECIAL CARE produces the
national Caregivers' newsletter Caregivers' Companion. The
newsletter is available three times a year during the months of
March, July, and November. Customized issues of the publication are
also available through your local caregiver office and reflect
relevant local caregiver and home care news articles.
All Caregivers are invited and encouraged to submit news articles,
share relevant personal experiences in home care as a Caregiver, put
forward suggestions, provide feedback, and introduce discussion
topics. This publication is available to all the
GRISWOLD SPECIAL CARE offices and allows the Caregivers a
wonderful networking opportunity and greater participation in the
process.
We are interested in what you have to say. To submit your feedback,
questions, or suggestions, please call (215) 402-0200 Ext: 114 or

This scholarship is available through The Special Care Foundation.
The Foundation seeks to improve the quality and delivery of home
care services and enhance the status of the professional Caregiver
by supporting advances in training and education.
The Foundation sponsors a scholarship award program for the benefit
of deserving individuals in the community at large.
The program provides financial assistance to qualified but
financially limited persons, to obtain health education, home care
certification, and skills training. Each scholarship is a one-time
cash award paid directly to the school or agency providing the class
or training.
As a service to our valued Caregivers, GRISWOLD
SPECIAL CARE, through Home Care Academy, has educational
information geared toward the professional Caregiver.
For additional information on available resources, up-coming
workshops, or educational opportunities, please contact your local
Caregiver office. Most events are open to the public so family and
friends are welcome to attend.
In a continued effort to serve a wide population in need of
excellent home care services, GRISWOLD SPECIAL
CARE is launched the Younger Adult Assistive Services
Division in April 2005.
The result of doctoral research carried out by Dr. Kent. C.
Griswold, President of GRISWOLD SPECIAL CARE,
the new division is aimed at referring Caregivers who provide
quality and affordable home care services to persons living with
disability.
To this end, GRISWOLD SPECIAL CARE has
approached organizations affiliated with specific diseases or
conditions in a collaborative effort to develop Caregiver
certification programs. The certification program currently in
development will offer Caregivers two levels of certification in
various specialty areas.
